Totality Book Review
As neighbors and humans work to understand one another, tensions run high as further misdeeds are uncovered. Renee and Jackson must prove to the neighbors that the acts of a few do not signify the overall human ideals. They must find a way to balance the needs of both and provide a clear path forward that won’t elicit panic from the populace.
Totality gives readers the ability to see through the eyes of the Neighbors. Noel becomes a main point of view and exposes the political and devious nature of some Neighbors. Their society is just as complex as the humans. As Noel works to understand the humans and process their intentions and culture, readers will find the Neighbors are just as quick to judge. The similarities between the two sides continue to develop as both humans and Neighbors work to announce the presence of one another to their kin.
While book one sets the foundation of smaller groups working to understand one another, Totality tackles the concept of an entire world and society discovering they are not alone in the universe. And while the intentions of many may be pure, some would undermine the balance of peace from both sides. This novella sets the stage for the merger of two worlds and the myriad of reactions that will result. I am eager to see what happens when the masses find out about one another in the next novella.
